An award-winning, licensed, early learning and care, non-profit organization located in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
Our top-notch facility is designed especially for children. The forest just outside our doors provides a natural environment for children to learn, grow, and explore. Educators specialize in the Reggio-inspired philosophy with a focus on forest and nature programming.
Programs
Small World Learning Centre (SWLC) offers a variety of early learning and care programs for children ages 18 months to 12 years.
Our programs follow the Nova Scotia Department of Education's curriculum framework. We offer on-site programs at our York Street Centre from 7:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. We also have an off-site after-school program at Bridgewater Elementary School from the end of the school day until 5:00 pm.
Facility
Our early learning child care centre is carefully designed and equipped with children in mind. Learning materials are suited to meet the needs and interests of children. We have large forested play spaces and outdoor play areas where children can explore, learn, and engage with nature. There are large indoor classrooms that provide ample space for children to play and learn.
We grow berries, fruit, and veggies onsite enhancing gardening skills.
