Indoor Classrooms
Forest Pods- Outdoor Classrooms
Fenced in Playground
Large, low windows let the light shine in while your child plays and learns. Age-appropriate furniture and toys. Large, warm, friendly classrooms. The rooms are well-supplied with equipment and toys that inspire learning, sharing, exploring, education, and growth.
Each class has its own forest pod—a designated area for forest and outdoor play. These outdoor classrooms are adjacent to the centre. When weather permits, rest time is in the forest pod in a hammock with a fly net!
This area is inspected by NS Food & Safety inspectors and is a daily outing area.
The fenced-in backyard is a natural playground and outdoor classroom mostly used by Classroom 1- 18 month to 3 year olds.
This area is licensed and regulated by the Department of Education and Food & Safety.
Common Areas
Educators provide campfires for outdoor cooking activities in our firepit.
There is a large grassy area for playing games and a small hill for sledding.
The back area has raised vegetable gardens for each classroom, willows for weaving, and playground equipment, including a nest swing, rock wall climber, and monkey/clambering bars.
We have apple, pear, almond, and hazelnut trees, grapevines, strawberries, blueberries and hascap berries throughout our property.

Earth Education & Art Studio
Enrichment programs include earth education, art, and music experiences.
We have a beautiful art studio with nature-based, open-ended supplies.
We always accept donations of driftwood, beach glass, rope, stones, etc.

Menus
Our kitchen staff prepare healthy snacks and meals for our young charges. Menus are approved and meet licensing criteria for Food and Beverage for childcare centres. Menus have been reviewed and approved by a Public Health Dietitian. We offer a variety of foods, including culturally diverse recipes. We encourage families to share recipes with us!
